GABLE ENDIES APPOINT NEW CLUB AMBASSADOR
Montrose FC have unveiled former player and legend, David Larter as their new official Club Ambassador.
Larter played in goals for the Links Park side from 1984 to 1998 making a Club record 432 appearances.
A favourite with the fans, the keeper has remained a staunch supporter and regular visitor since his departure and was entered into the Gable Endies Hall of Fame in 2004.
Club Chairman, John Crawford said, “I am delighted to welcome David back to Links Park in his new official role. He is a true Mo Legend, a gentleman and I am personally very pleased to see him back representing our Club once more.”
Honorary President, John Paton added, “David and I go back a long way both as a player and part of the Management Team under John Sheran. He has been a fervent and loyal supporter of Montrose Football Club in a variety of ways over many years and I can think of no better person to represent us as a Club Ambassador."
David commented, “I was very humbled and flattered to receive the invitation to become Club Ambassador and it will be an honour and privilege to take up this position.
“I hope I can live up to the Club’s expectations, I look forward to starting my role and will endeavour to attend as many games as I can.”
