HARWOOD MAKES CARNOUSTIE MOVE PERMANENT
Montrose FC have confirmed that defender Adam Harwood has moved to Junior side Carnoustie Panmure on a permanent deal, having spent the majority of last season there on loan.
The 22 year old, who signed from Dundee United in 2015, made 21 appearances for the Gable Endies, but struggled to force his way into Paul Hegarty’s side at the start of the 2016/17 campaign.
As a result, the Belfast born centre half joined Carnoustie on a half season loan, which was then extended in January under new boss Stewart Petrie.
Adam is the first player to leave Links Park as Petrie begins to reshuffle his squad following an exciting end to his first season as a Manager in the top flight.
Stewart said, “All the attention in recent weeks has been on the push for the play-offs, but now that’s gone we can focus on strengthening the team for next season.
“I have spoken to a number of players and we will start to announce both contract extensions and new signings in the next few days.”
Everyone at the Club wishes Adam all the very best for the future.
