BOB’S CHARITY MONEY SET TO SAVE LIVES
Money raised at a recent charity football competition in memory of late Montrose FC stalwart Bob Mutch has been shared between two local good causes. Each receiving half of the £500 is the Montrose Stroke Club and Save A Life Montrose.
A totally self-supporting group, the Stroke Club plan to put the money towards a specially adapted bus with a lift for wheelchairs to allow members to enjoy organised outings.
Save A Life Montrose have been raising money to provide public access defibrillators for the local area and recently announced plans to go ahead with the purchase and installation of the first 5 units.
The charities were selected by Bob’s wife Lily, who presented the money to Tracy Park (left) from Save A Life and Isabel Byers (right) from the Montrose Stroke Club.
