Montrose 1 Montrose Roselea 2

An entertaining and competitive game to celebrate the Testimonials of Roy Gill and Callum Rae as well as competing for the first time for the Jock Skinner shield.

Fotheringham squandered the chance to put the Mo in front from the spot after Hay was fouled but he blasted well over the bar.

However, he made up for it soon after when he played a 40 yard pass which was well taken by McLaren who finished well.

The Lea levelled before the break when a good run and cutback by Greig was tapped in from a yard out by Aitken.

Whilst The Mo had the better of the first half, The Lea came more into the game after half time and deservedly won the match 10 mins from the end when Beedie's shot from outside the box was touched in at the back post by Duncan.

Congratulations to Roy and Callum and The Lea's name becomes the first to be etched on the Jock Skinner shield in what will now become an annual challenge fixture.
