FROM BALMORAL TO THE PROMISED LAND FOR THE MIGHTY MO AS FIRST EVER TRAVEL SPONSOR ANNOUNCED

Montrose FC Women are delighted to welcome Balmoral Comtec on board as their first ever Travel Sponsor.

Established in 1980, Aberdeen-based Balmoral has become a global force in the design, development and delivery of buoyancy, protection and insulation products for the offshore energy sector.
The company’s new facility at Montrose Port allows it to manufacture large composite structures for use in the oil & gas and renewable energy sectors providing a direct shore to ship option.

Sir Jim Milne CBE, Chairman and Managing Director of Balmoral Group, said: “At this exciting time in the development of women’s football we are pleased to contribute to the ongoing success of Montrose FC Women who are currently sitting top of the SWPL2. As part of the growing business community in Montrose, and by becoming the team’s first ever travel sponsor, we look forward to following them and their success on the road.”

Barry O’Neill, Director of Football added “We are extremely grateful to Jim and the team at Balmoral for their generous support at this exciting time in the Club’s history. One of our major expenses every year is the cost of the team bus to away matches and to have a sponsor to help with this is wonderful. Our team bus, provided by JP Coaches, will soon feature the Balmoral logo and we hope that we can visit many new grounds next season as we bid to win promotion to SWPL1. ‘
