Montrose FC have extended, for a further 12 months, the contract of Aidan Quinn, keeping the talented defender at Links Park until the summer of 2025.

Arriving from East of Scotland league outfit Heriot Watt University at the start of 2020, Quinn has made 83 appearances and netted a total of 7 times for Stewart Petrie’s side, including two in the current campaign.

After a strong start to his Links Park career, injury at the start of last season saw the Dunfermline born defender feature less in the first team, and so a half season loan was arranged last January with League 2 outfit East Fife, providing the 25-year-old with much needed game time.

Quinn’s return to pre-season training in June provided the required fresh start and the centre half has been a regular for the Gable Endies this term, making 23 appearances.

Assistant Manager, Ross Campbell said, “Aidan is becoming an increasingly important part of our defensive setup and, with quite a bit of interest from other clubs, we are delighted that he has chosen to stay and commit his future to Montrose.”
