Montrose FC have extended the contract of Craig Brown for a further 2 years, keeping the midfielder, who scored the winner on Saturday against Queen of the South, at the Club until the summer of 2027.

Having arrived at Links Park three years ago from the University of Stirling, Brown has made 114 appearances for Stewart Petrie’s side and his winner at the weekend, his third already this campaign, takes his overall goal tally to 16.

On signing his contract extension, Craig said, “I’m delighted to be here for another 2 years. It’s a special group and I’m excited to be a part of what’s to come over the next few seasons.

“Year on year I’ve been given the chance to develop and grow as a player, which I am very grateful for. It was an easy decision.”

Petrie added, “Craig brings real energy and pace to our midfield and has started the season in excellent form. As demonstrated on Saturday, he is always a goal threat, either shooting from the edge of the box or making late runs to get on the end of crosses.

“We are delighted he has agreed to extend his contract which continues to give us real depth in our midfield options.”
