With the January transfer window barely ajar, Montrose FC have wasted no time in agreeing a half season loan deal with Premiership side Heart of Midlothian for promising young attacking midfielder Callum Sandilands. 

The 19 year old joined the Jambo’s Youth Academy from Rangers in 2021 before landing a professional contract the following year. 

This season the Scottish born midfielder has made 14 appearances for the Hearts B side in the Lowland League, scoring 6 times, providing 5 assists and securing a 3 year contract extension back in October. 

On his move to Links Park, Callum added, “I am delighted to be joining the club for the rest of the season. I am really looking forward to the opportunity and experience and excited about helping drive the team up the league table!”

Manager Stewart Petrie said, “We are delighted to welcome Callum to the Club. He comes very highly rated and we believe he will fit in well to our setup and bolster our attacking options.
