Montrose FC Women are delighted to announce the loan signing of Sophia Martin who joins the club until Summer 2025 from SWPL side Glasgow City.

The 17 year old forward, progressed her way through the Glasgow City youth academy while representing her country across U15, U16 & Under 17s age groups before signing her first professional contract with Glasgow City back in 2023 days after her 16th birthday and is believed to be the youngest female player to do so.

Manager Craig Feroz said “Absolutely delighted to capture the loan signing of Sophia. She is a player that is full of energy, strong, has an eye for goal and someone who I believe has the potential to represent their country at full international level. This loan signing gives us a real boost in the battle to survive in this division and I can’t thank Glasgow city enough for their assistance in this transfer.”
