With the loan window about to close, Montrose FC have made a late move to bring talented Raith Rovers midfielder Lewis Gibson back to Links Park for a second loan spell until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old enjoyed 4 months at Links Park with Stewart Petrie’s side last year, featuring 16 times, registering five assists and one goal.

Petrie said, “It’s great to be welcoming Lewis back. We all witnessed first-hand last year the quality and ability he brings to the side. Our midfield has been in good form recently, so adding Lewis’s pace, creativity, wicked delivery and threat in front of goal can only make us a better side as we look to finish the campaign strongly.

“We would again like to thank everyone at Raith for their support in making the loan happen.”
