THANK YOU SOPHIA!

Following another successful season with the club, we can confirm that Sophia Martin has returned to her parent club, Glasgow City, following the conclusion of her loan spell.

After initially joining the club last season and making an immediate impact both on the pitch and amongst supporters, we were delighted to welcome Sophia back for the entirety of the 2025/26 season.

Throughout her time with the club, Sophia consistently demonstrated exceptional professionalism, commitment and work ethic. Across her spell with the club, Sophia made nearly 40 appearances and scored over 10 goals — an impressive contribution that underlines the impact she has made both on and off the pitch. Her presence within the squad and around the dressing room will be greatly missed by players, staff and supporters alike.

During her time at the club, Sophia also earned international recognition with Scotland Under-19s, further highlighting her development and performances across the last two seasons. In doing so, she also made history by becoming the first MFCW player to score whilst away on international duty — another milestone in what has been a memorable spell in club colours.

Manager Craig Feroz said: “We can’t thank Sophia enough for all of her efforts, not just this season but last season too. She has been excellent for the club and will be a massive miss within the changing room. We wish her nothing but the very best for her next chapter.”
