Montrose FC are proud to congratulate Blair Lyons on reaching a major career milestone, making his 250th appearance for the club against Alloa Athletic recently.

In doing so, Blair becomes the third longest‑serving player in the current squad, sitting in behind club stalwarts Sean Dillon and Graham Webster.

Since arriving at Links Park, Lyons has grown into one of the club’s most recognisable and admired figures. His pace, directness and consistency have made him a firm favourite among supporters, and his contribution continues to be felt across every campaign.

Having enjoyed two spells with the Gable Endies since 2019, the tricky winger has regularly hit the back of the net, and his 53^rd strike last month against Striling Albion in the KDM Evolution Trophy took him clear of Will Penman into 11^th place in the Club’s all-time goalscoring charts.

Blair’s connection with the fans was reflected once again at the End of Season Awards in April, where he achieved a remarkable double for the second-year running – lifting both the Young Fans’ Player of the Year and the Stan Thornton Player of the Year (voted for by members of the Gable Endies Club) awards.

Presenting Blair with his trophy, Director Mark Clark paid tribute to Blair’s achievement, saying, “Reaching 250 games at any club is a special milestone, but doing it at a club where you are so clearly valued makes it even more meaningful. Blair represents everything we want a Montrose player to be – committed, exciting to watch, and deeply connected to our supporters.

“We’re incredibly proud of him and grateful for everything he continues to bring to the team.”
