Jamie Barjonas has been voted the SPFL’s Player of the Month for September, for the William Hill League 1, his first for the Mighty Mo since joining the Club in the summer.

The midfielder began the month with an impressive brace as part of a solid 3-0 away win at Peterhead, earning himself a place in the SPFL Team of the Week.

A fortnight later, Jamie’s continuing good form provided an assist for Aidan Quinn to open the scoring in a hard fought 2-1 victory away to East Fife that took the Gable Endies winning league run to an impressive 5 games, ending the month third place in the league and earning Manager, Stewart Petrie the accolade of being voted Manager of the Month also.

On winning the award Jamie said, “I’m delighted to get the player of the month award. As a team, we’ve had a very positive run of games in the league and that’s down to the whole squad putting in the work.

“We need to stay focused and keep grafting away to continue this. I’d also like to congratulate the gaffer on his award as well. As a team and staff, we’re all working very hard, so to get this recognition is a great feeling!”
