Stewart Petrie has been voted Glen’s Manager of the Month for September, for the William Hill League 1 – his eighth such award during his time at Links Park.

Having ended August with back-to-back home wins, Petrie’s side carried that form into September with a solid 3-0 away win at Peterhead.

Returning to Links Park, a narrow 2-1 win against local rivals Cove Rangers, followed by another 2-1 success the following week against East Fife, extended the Gable Endies’ league winning run to five games – a feat last achieved during the League 2 title-winning season of 2017/18.

Petrie said, “”I’m delighted to receive this award, but the credit belongs to the players and staff. Taking six points from two difficult away trips and following that up with a strong home win shows the character, commitment and quality within this squad.

“Everyone has worked incredibly hard throughout the month, and it’s been pleasing to see that effort rewarded with positive results. We’ll enjoy the recognition, but our focus remains on maintaining these standards and continuing our progress in the weeks ahead.”

This trophy adds to Petrie’s previous monthly awards for September 2024, October 2021, December 2020, December 2019, October 2019, December 2018, November 2017, as well as his League 2 Manager of the Year Award for 2017/18.
