League 1 Table 2020/21
With the Scottish football season now officially ended, we must bid farewell to our 140th Anniversary year. Having begun with such a poor run of results, the turnaround in the middle was incredible and we were perfectly poised entering the home straight to challenge for a place in the Championship.
No one could have imagined what would happen next and the global impact it would have.
Today is all about staying safe and looking out for each other and hopefully we can return very soon to embark on the next exciting chapter in our history.
Our Trusts great work and lockdown entertainment culminates with the crowning of Champion Allan Fleming as well as a couple of surprise celebrity rounds of the quiz.
Congratulations to Lloyd Mair, whose number 141 was first out of the pot today winning him £500 with Iain Bridges winning £100. This takes our total payout this year to £3,000. Watch the full draw and an interview with Andrew Stephen here.
Our Trusts great work and lockdown entertainment continues with defender Iain Campbell. Yano has the last chance to topple Allan Fleming from his perch as champion, but a score of 12 will be required.
With the dust now firmly settled on the 2019/20 campaign, and the prospect of football returning still some way off, Montrose FC are offering their Season Ticket holders compensation for missing out on the last 4 home games of the season.
Club Chairman, John Crawford explained, “When it initially became clear the season was over, we held off offering refunds to our Season Ticket holders as we planned to show our appreciation by building some form of discount into next season’s prices by way of compensation. However, with the future of football still uncertain, and given the current global situation, we feel it only right to now offer our fans a partial refund.
“This continues to be a difficult time for everyone, both personally and financially, and as a Club, we continue to do everything we can to ensure we emerge from this crisis in as strong a position as possible.
“We have been overwhelmed and truly humbled by the fundraising efforts of all our fans and supporters, and although many Season Ticket holders have already indicated they would donate any refund straight back to the Club, we feel it only right and ethical to formally make the offer as we appreciate not everyone will be in a position to do so.”
