Montrose 3 Albion Rovers 4
Montrose Football Club’s search for a home win continues as they lost out to a last minute goal in a seven goal thriller at Links Park on Saturday.
After building up a deserved two goal lead inside the first fifteen minutes, George Shields men looked odds on to grab their first win of the year. But two defensive lapses allowed second top Rovers a way back into the match before half time.
Even after Albion Rovers took the lead the Gable Endies looked like getting a point after debutant David Banjo scored his second of the afternoon but with the last kick of the ball the away side scored the winner with what looked like an offside goal.
Montrose must look to tightening up the defensive side of their game because after scoring six times in their last two matches they have only managed to gather one point.
Annan Athletic visit Montrose on Saturday and again the home side must be looking at gathering all three points.
