Sean Dillon walked off with an impressive hat trick of trophies at Montrose FC’s End of Season Awards presentation evening at the weekend, held in association with the MFC Supporters Club

Arriving as a marquee signing in 2017, the 39 year old’s contribution to Stewart Petrie’s side remains clear for all to see, with the Irishman being voted the Supporters Club Player of the Year, Directors Player of the Year and the Stan Thornton Player of the Year (voted for by members of the Gable Endies Club).

For the second year running, Blair Lyons was named Young Fans Player of the Year and Ross County’s Adam Mackinnon won Loan Player of the Year.

Goal of the Season went to our very own boy from Brazil, Matheus Machado for his wonder strike from distance at Kelty Hearts, and Top Goal Scorer, not surprisingly was won by the current SPFL all time top goal scorer, Rory McAllister.

Young goalie Ross Matthews breakthrough season was recognised as he lifted the Young Player of the Year trophy with the final, and most prestigious award going to Kerr Waddell, being voted by fellow teammates as their overall Player of the Year.
