With Montrose’s season now concluded, loanee Adam Mackinnon will now return to his parent club Ross County.

The talented midfielder first arrived at Links Park in August last year, quickly becoming a regular starter for Stewart Petrie’s side, making 17 appearances and scoring twice before being recalled by County boss Malky Mackay at Christmas.

The 20 year old was then allowed to return in late January for a second loan spell and has since taken his appearance total to 30.

Petrie said, “Adam has done really well for us and clearly has a really bright future ahead of him. He has been a pleasure to work with and has been a credit to both himself and Ross County.

“We would like to sincerely thank Malky for allowing both loan spells to happen and we wish Adam every success for the future.”
