Montrose FC have wasted no time in utilising the benefits of a recently signed strategic partnership with Montrose Roselea, by snapping up two talented 18 year olds from Dundee and Dundee Utd and immediately loaning them out to the Junior side for further development.

Over the summer, both Arron Donald and Aulay Martin were released by Utd and Dundee after spending a number of years within their respective Youth Academies.

Mo Manager Stewart Petrie said, “We are delighted to be able to give Aulay and Arron a second chance and our new arrangement with Eric at Roselea is the perfect platform for doing just that. I know from personal experience what it is like to be released by a big club at a young age, it is a tough knock, but it doesn’t mean you aren’t good enough – it’s about going again and proving everyone wrong and we will keep a keen eye on both these local boys as they continue their development.

On a similar note, having had Kaisey Brown monitored closely at Blairgowrie FC last season, Petrie has also brought the 17 year old, ex-Dundee Utd Youth under the umbrella of the first team with an immediate loan to Tayport FC.

Petrie added, “We have all been impressed by Kaisey and he acquitted himself well in our pre-season campaign. Again, we will monitor him closely at Tayport and we look forward to seeing all 3 boys progress up through our ranks.
