CIARÁN BECOMES NEW GABLE ENDIES CHAPLAIN

Montrose FC have announced Ciarán Kellehar as their new Club Chaplain, replacing Ian Grey who stepped down from the role at the end of last season.

Originally from the west coast of Ireland, Ciarán has lived in Scotland for the last decade with wife Sarah, where they started a family with the birth of their two young sons.

For the last year, Ciarán has been based in the town as the Minister of Grace Church.

Explaining his thoughts on taking the role and the role itself, Ciarán said, “I’ve only been in the town for just over a year but I’ve seen how the football club is right at the heart of the community. It’s a great privilege and honour to be able to serve the Club by getting alongside the lads on the team.

“The Club is committed to them, not just as players but as people, and my role is one part of that. I am here to support them by being a listening ear and an encouraging voice. If you see me on a Saturday at Links Park, come say hello.”
