DOUBLE WINS FOR DILLON, GARDYNE, LYONS AND GRAHAM AT CLUB END OF SEASON AWARDS

A mixture of youth and experience dominated the trophy winners at Montrose FC’s End of Season Awards presentation evening at the weekend, held in association with the MFC Supporters Club.

At 40 years of age, Sean Dillon’s incredible continued contribution to Stewart Petrie’s side was again recognised, being voted both Fans and Stan Thornton (voted for by members of the Gable Endies Club) Player of the Year.

At the other end of the scale, and less than half Dillon’s age, 19-year-old Dundee loanee Luke Graham also walked off with a double win, being voted both Loanee of the Year and Young Player of the Year.

Experienced midfielder Michael Gardyne lifted both the Supporters Club Committee and Players, Player of the Year, whilst Blair Lyons was voted Directors Players of the Year and won Goal of the Season for his equalising strike away at Alloa in December.

Having featured increasingly in the first team over this campaign, Youth Academy player Harry Craig was voted Young Fans Player of the Year and Kane Hester lifted the Top Goalscorer trophy thanks to his seasons tally of 14 goals.
