“Neilio, Neilio, Neiliooo!”

Montrose FC Women can confirm that Neil Daniel has departed his role as Coach/Secretary of the women’s side due to work commitments.

Neil Daniel said “I’m very thankful to have been given the opportunity to work at Montrose these last 2 years as both coach and secretary. It’s been an unforgettable time which is all down to the people that I deal with daily basis in these roles. From the coaching staff, those behind the scenes at the club, the die-hard fans that we get to speak to on match day and all at SWPL. Of course, I can’t forget the players who are all amazing at what they do and even better people, who it’s been nothing but a joy to work with. It’s 10 years this year that I’ve been involved as a volunteer in girls/women’s football and work commitments overseas mean I can’t now dedicate the time. What is a certainty is that when I’m back, I’ll be the biggest fan of Montrose and will be supporting the team on every match day. Come on the Mo!”

Manager Feroz added “Neil is genuinely the nicest person I have ever met in my life. No matter how tough things get he is always smiling. He has been fantastic at keeping the girls upbeat even in times of despair. He will simply be irreplaceable and a real loss to everyone. I thank him for every one of those smiles, a true gentleman.”

From everyone at Montrose FCW – thank you for everything Neil and all the best for your next chapter!
