Ex-Montrose FC Groundsman Brian Leiper and wife Nancy recently made a very kind donation of £1,000 towards Club funds.

Receiving the cheque, Director Andy Stirling said, “This is an incredible gesture by Brian and Nancy and one we very much appreciate.

“There are always unknown and unplanned costs associated with running a football club, so donations such as these are a huge help.

“In fact, I was just explaining that last week our tannoy system went from working, which meant we had to unexpectedly and at short notice, pay out for both a repair and a new amplifier, so every time the couple hear the dulcet tones of Mr Thomson shouting Gooooaaaaaaallllllllll!!!! they will be reminded of exactly where their generous donation went.”
