FUNDRAISERS MAKE MIGHTY DONATION TO GABLE ENDIES
The MFC Fundraising Committee have raised an impressive £4,000 towards Club funds following a recent run of fun and varied activities.
Working closely with the Club, the small band of volunteers tirelessly endeavour to support and deliver events that are attractive to a wide-ranging audience.
From the legendary monthly Bingo sessions, with charismatic caller Ross Thomson, to the annual Ladies Day Hospitality and the recent Cher tribute night, the committee are out to entertain, have fun, and raise some much-needed cash for the Club in the process.
Committee lead (and Bingo caller) Ross Thomson said, “We are all so chuffed at being able to present such a large amount of money to the Club today. We have had to put such a lot of work into a number of events over recent times, but to see the fruits of our efforts in the form of this large donation makes it all worthwhile.”
Receiving the cheque on behalf of the Club, Chairman John Crawford said, “I would like to sincerely thank all of the Fundraising Committee for raising such an incredible amount. I would also like to thank everyone who takes the time to come out and support the events organised by the committee. It shows a real community spirit and that a lot of fun can be had whilst raising money at the same time.
“Donations such as these are vital to the ongoing running of the Club and are very much appreciated.”
