Montrose FC have confirmed that youngsters Aulay Martin and Lancelot Pollard will leave the Club next month when their contracts come to an end.

19-year-old Martin, a product of the Dundee FC Youth Academy, arrived at Links Park in the summer of 2023. Enjoying an 18-month loan spell with Montrose Roselea as part of the Club’s strategic partnership, Aulay returned to the first team at the turn of the year and made 8 appearances for Stewart Petrie’s side.

Pollard arrived on a short term deal in January from Dutch side Sparta Rotterdam, where he had spent time in their renowned youth academy. The ex-Rangers and Aberdeen youngster made 3 sub appearances for the Gable Endies before making his full debut against Inverness CT on the final day of the season.

Petrie explained, “Aulay has recently relocated to Aberdeen for work reasons and so wanted a move and I’m delighted to say he has agreed to join Junior North Superleague side Culter FC.

“We had hoped to be in a better position in the run in, such that we could have given Lance more game time to fully assess his potential, but unfortunately this wasn’t the case and as a result we have sadly had to let him go at this moment in time.

“We wish both of them all the best for the future.”
