MFC Women are delighted to announce the dual registration amateur signing of 2 Montrose Youth FC players for the coming season.

15 year old goalkeeper Ava Lamb is a familiar face, having joined the first team squad for the final few matches of the 24/25 season.

Defender Grace Christie showed great promise whilst playing for MYFC Girls 16s whilst also training with the first team squad last season. This has earned her a place in Craig Feroz’s senior squad for the 25/26 season.

Director of Football, Barry O’Neill said ‘It’s a testament to the dedication of Ava and Grace and the excellent coaching they’ve received at MYFC that we’ve been able to offer them the chance to build their experience and continue to develop as players and individuals over the coming year. Hopefully, they push on again and prove to be great examples to all the other aspiring members of the 16s (soon to be 17s) MYFC squad. Having a pathway for locals girls to break into the first team has long been an ambition of the club, and it is very pleasing to see it start to happen.
