GILL REACHES 100 GABLE ENDIE GAMES
Montrose FC goalie Cammy Gill made his 100th appearance for the club recently in a 2-1 home win against East Fife.
The 27‑year‑old joined the Gable Endies in the summer of 2023, with Manager Stewart Petrie persuading him to make the short move north from Angus neighbours Arbroath after earlier spells at Dunfermline and Cowdenbeath.
Gill grasped his opportunity with both hands and quickly made the number one jersey at Links Park his own, demonstrating an impressive level of consistency matched with countless crucial saves.
His performances were recognised in April when he collected both the Directors’ Player of the Year and the prestigious Players’ Player of the Year awards at the club’s end‑of‑season ceremony.
More recently, Gill earned a place in the last SPFL Team of the Week for 2025 following a standout display in Montrose’s 2–1 home win over Inverness CT, producing a string of exceptional stops.
On reaching the milestone, Cammy said, “I have loved my few years here at Montrose, it really is a special club. This is the most I’ve ever enjoyed my football and I’m hoping for much, much more.”
On presenting Cammy with his award, Finance Director Iain Bridges added, “Many congratulations to Cammy on reaching 100 games, something he should be rightly proud of.
“The levels of commitment and consistency he has delivered over the past 2 years have been incredible and, at still a relatively young age in goalkeeping terms, we look forward to him playing many more games for the Mighty Mo.”
