Montrose FC have extended young Harry Craig’s contract for a further 12 months, keeping the talented prospect at Links Park until the summer of 2027.

Having recently returned from a short loan spell at Brechin City, where he made 13 appearances, the Club have wasted no time in continuing Harry’s development at pace by securing a half season loan deal with Highland League outfit Banks o’ Dee.

A local lad, Craig has made 25 appearances for Stewart Petrie’s side since breaking through from the Youth Academy in 2023 at just 16 years of age, penning his first professional contract back in August.

Academy Lead David Burns commented, “It is fantastic to see Harry extend his contract. He has shown great maturity throughout his development, particularly during his time at Brechin.

“Moving to Banks ‘o Dee represents a good opportunity for him to keep testing himself within the Highland League, and we will be there by his side – monitoring his games and providing the support – to help him reach his full potential.”

Petrie added, “We are delighted to have extended Harry’s stay at Links Park. His progression and time at Brechin has been extremely valuable and this new move to Banks ‘o Dee will aid his development even further.

“We thank Brechin for looking after Harry over the last four months and thank everyone at Banks o’ Dee for their help in making the new loan happen. We look forward to welcoming Harry back in the summer in time for pre-season.”
