We understand and completely share our fans frustration at the news late yesterday that our game on Saturday against Cove Rangers has been postponed.

This decision has been totally outwith our control and is due to Cove making a request to the league based on a combination of their three co-operation loan players being called up to Scotland’s U19 squad, as well as a number of injuries to other players.

This unprecedented situation has been debated at league level since the middle of last week, and we went to great lengths to strenuously make as strong a case as possible as to why we believed the game should still proceed.

Unfortunately, the SPFL Board’s decision yesterday has not gone in our favour, and we are now working hard to deal with the fallout this late cancellation has caused, which includes trying to arrange an alternative opponent for a friendly on Saturday.

We will keep our fans and guests advised in due course.
