SCOTTY RETURNS TO LP AS CONNOR MOVES ON
A familiar face has appeared at Links Park over the summer, with Scott Shepherd returning as Sports Therapist following the departure of Connor Woodcock at the end of last season.
Arriving back for pre-season training, Scott remarked, “It is great to be back, but I never really felt I was away, as I’d kept up with a lot of the staff and players over the last 12 months. When the call came in from the Gaffer to talk about a return, it was a surprise but also an easy decision.
“It’s a challenging job, but I look forward to working hard to help the team and coaching staff however I can.”
Connor added, “I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Montrose and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to be involved with the club. It was a fantastic season working alongside the players and staff, from which I have gained invaluable knowledge and experience that will benefit me throughout my career.
“I’d like to give a special thanks to Chris, Gareth, and Gemma for their support and guidance throughout the season. Their help played a big part in making my time at the club so enjoyable.
“I’m now looking forward to an exciting new chapter as I head to Australia to explore new opportunities and continue developing my career. I’d like to thank everyone at Montrose FC and wish the club every success for the season ahead.”
Assistant Manager Ross Campbell said, “We wish Connor all the best for the future and thank him for all his efforts over the past year. It has also been great to be able to welcome Scotty back into the team as a familiar face.”
