GABLE ENDIES MOVE TO CASHLESS TURNSTILES
Montrose FC are to introduce cashless turnstiles following a new partnership with ticket provider Future Ticketing.
Allowing turnstile operations to be streamlined along with cost savings related to reduced cash handling, the new system will be introduced for the Clubs upcoming fixture against Stenhousemuir.
Tickets can be purchased in advance from https://montrosefc.co.uk/tickets/ but for those needing more time to become familiar with the online platform, a ticket office will be in operation on Saturday. Located adjacent to the turnstiles, the ticket office will be open from 2pm to 3pm and will accept cash and card.
Club Chief Exec Peter Stuart explained, “Our new ticketing partner, Future Ticketing have already integrated their sales platform onto our website, and we believe fans will find buying tickets online much easier and more convenient than previously.
“Tickets bought online can be easily printed and those bought from a phone can be saved direct to your mobile’s wallet, similar to other tickets and boarding passes.
“We appreciate this change will not be to everyone’s liking, but it makes perfect sense from a business point of view. We spoke in the summer about how we completed a detailed financial review across the whole Club and as part of that the overall costs and difficulties with staffing cash turnstiles emerged as a clear opportunity for us to do things more efficiently.
“In line with what many other clubs now do, we will provide a ticket office on match days for those who have difficulties with buying their tickets online.”
